Welcome to Cardiff People First

Putting people with a learning disability first

Cardiff People First is a self advocacy organisation run by and for people with a learning disability in Cardiff. We support each other to make our voice heard, learn about life and do new things.

We stand up for our rights and campaign to change attitudes, get better services and enjoy more opportunities. We fight for equality, understanding, respect and acceptance.

Our Full Members – all people with a learning disability – lead our organisation, some being Directors / Trustees. All our frontline staff and our volunteers have a learning disability.

The policies, ideals and aims behind Cardiff People First come from our Full Members.

You can find out more about Cardiff People First on this website and on FacebookTwitter and You Tube.

Join @SCLDNews for the launch of the Human Rights Town App on the 30th August.

The app is developed by and for people with #LearningDisabilities to empower them to understand their #HumanRights and advocate for personal/social change. 🎉 @InspiringSland

Please stop calling people ‘morons’. It’s a horrible word, with a horrible history.
